FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Hi, I’m Emma! Two years ago, I started SPARK, an initiative on a mission to empower young girls to discover their purpose and unlock their potential in the field of STEM. I am currently a senior in high school at Greenwich Academy and very passionate about all things science. I especially love Biology and Computer Science. Through SPARK, I hope to share my passion for these subjects and make a difference in bridging the education gap.

MENTORS & PENPALS

Hello, my name is Cady, and I am a senior at Avenues: The World School, New York. I love Biochemistry and am also very interested in Physics. I joined Spark because I am passionate about helping girls feel confident to pursue STEM, a male-dominated field. I feel it is especially important to ensure girls from all backgrounds have opportunities to fall in love with science, as I have.

I’m Lara Scaminaci, and I am a senior at Greenwich Academy. I am really interested in chemical engineering, particularly where sustainability meets clean energy. I love helping with SPARK because I am passionate about inspiring younger girls to pursue STEM. It is programs like these that nurtured my own interest in STEM, and I believe they are essential to our community to spur curiosity, drive, and growth.

I’m Sasha. I'm interested in electrical and computer engineering, specifically quantum computing. In my free time, I run track and field, play volleyball and love to paint. I can't live without green tea and have somewhere between 30 and 40 houseplants that have taken over my room.
